One of our most recent kitchen projects

The challenge with this kitchen was to make it feel like it was an original part of the 100 year old home without removing walls and preserving the existing door/window trim, while adding more cabinet space and making the kitchen 21st Century efficient.

These are some pictures a recent job that we did.  The highlight of this kitchen remodel is the “freehand mosaic backsplash” that the client asked us to duplicate from a restaurant’s dining room walls.  She took pictures and gave them to Dennis and away he went.  He did a fantastic job and the client was ecstatic with the results.

The kitchen island highlight is that she needed it to serve a multi-purpose.  She needed it to act as part of the “triangle workspace” for the day-to-day family life of the kitchen, but she also needed it to act as a sitting area and “buffet” service area for entertaining.  We came up with the concept of putting the island on wheels, with the same cabinetry in her kitchen, including the same “accent details” that are on her kitchen wall cabinetry.

One of the many highlights of this kitchen is the pantry that we were able to incorporate into the design without sacrificing space or beauty.  The custom built Birch Wood Cabinetry increased the storage space and the overall beauty of this kitchen without breaking the client’s budget.  The final touch is the overhead skylight that floods a once outdated and dark kitchen with natural light showing off the beauty and functionality of the entire room.

This large, inefficient, and dark kitchen was given new life by opening the long, blank kitchen wall to incorporate the dining room into the kitchen area. The custom cabinetry, the arched doorways, and cobalt-blue tile backsplash inserts, provide an elegant touch of Spanish décor to reflect the homeowners’ tastes.

The cabinetry boasts full-extension drawers, custom made corbels for the island, and a custom stain that can be easily matched again for fixing scratches or nicks, or for matching another piece of new furniture in the home.  All of it topped off with a beautiful quartz countertop by C ambria that gives the look, feel and performance of granite without the maintenance headaches or hassles.
